2017 TRACK

The Sussex Cycle Racing League (commonly known as SCRL) is a regular Wednesday night track racing league running roughly from April to mid-August each year.

It is a friendly and welcoming league, with everyone from seasoned pros to total newcomers.

After three weeks in a row with the evening's programme being called off due to rain all were relieved to be able to race in the final week of the season.

Neil added a few more points to his season's tally.
His 5 wins placed him 3rd in the SENIOR B wins listings; and 53 points placed him second in the SENIOR B points listings.

12 JULY 2017 - SUSSEX CYCLE RACING (PRESTON PARK) WEEK 13

WECC club member Neil McClelland had great success this week in the Sussex Cycle Racing League at Preston Park.

He won the Event No 12 (Senior B class) and then followed that up by winning Event No 19 (Senior B class).

As each win is worth 6 points Neil moved onto 47 points in the Senior B rankings.
More crucially he has now moved onto 5 wins for the season and is therefore promoted to the A group.
It also means that he has finished third overall in the B group for the season as the way the B league is decided is the first rider to score 5 wins is the winner, the second rider to score 5 wins is second and so on.

In the Devil(elimination) the last over the line at the end of the first lap is eliminated, the last over the line on the second lap is next to be eliminated and so on until the last lap where the winner is the final rider who has not been eliminated.
