The primary focus for Worthing Excelsior in respect of racing is time trialling plus some road racing.
INFORMATION FOR NEWCOMERS TO TIME TRIALLING
For an explanation of what time trialling is click here.
All time trials and hill climbs are administered by Cycling Time Trials (CTT). You will need to be a member of a CTT affiliated club like Worthing Excelsior in order to race (unless it is a Club event specifically designated as 'Come and Try It'.
These are relaxed and informal, and are the ideal way to begin. For our club's evening 10's (and hill climbs) you don't need to enter but can sign up on the evening. For other other club events you need to submit an entry form to the events secretary by the preceding Tuesday.
You will need to sign up in advance, and generally the closing date for entries is around two weeks prior to the event. Sussex based courses can be prefixed with a 'G' (London South District) or a 'P' (South District) dependent upon their location.
